6Al-6V-2Sn

An alpha-beta alloy similar to Ti 6-4, but with higher strength and deeper hardenability. Maximum strength may be developed in sections up to 2 inches thick.

Anneal 1300 -1500°F for 20 minutes/inch thickness, 10 minutes minimum. Solution heat treat at 1650 ± 25°F for 60 ± 5 minutes, agitated water quench. Age at 1000°F ±15°F for 4 hours ±15 minutes, air cool.
